The Friendly Butcher
Mid-Town, Toronto.
A much-needed Facelift was awarded to this established Butcher Shop. The inspiration was an Industrial French Bistro! Traditional white and black tiling was installed as a backdrop with custom staff portraits put on display. Custom bookcases with crown moulding tops were made to house dry goods and the cash counter was repainted and enhanced with a granite stone countertop. Custom designed lunch tables were fabricated using plumbing pipe fixtures and fitted with marble tops. Counter stools completed the Dine-In experience. An office was built in the middle of the shop to offer catering services and fitted with a custom Barn Door with Industrial hardware closure. Pot lights and custom French inspired pendants dropped over the cash counter. New flooring throughout the shop added warmth and durability. Space planning of prep equipment stations and product reach-ins prior to the renovation helped maximize the usable space and customer traffic flow. New exterior doors and outdoor signage signaled a Grand Re-Opening for The Friendly Butcher!
